FlyingJ 0 #1 September 16, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUPMjC9mq5Y&feature=player_embedded This video is a perfect example of why I typically keep my mouth shut regarding politics, etc. I am fully aware of just how much I DON'T know and choose to refrain from sharing my feelings on a topic unless I feel like I've done enough research to be able to back up my point of view. I live this video every day in my small south Texas town. I hear people constantly mouthing off with their feelings that this or that is awful, and this person or that person is ruining the country, etc. Oddly enough, when you ask them to tell you why they are completely incapable of saying anything they haven't heard some talking head spouting on TV. I mean this in no way as an attack on conservatives only as I'm pretty sure someone could make a pretty darn similar video at a liberal protest. That, and I have no doubt that there were plenty of people at the rally that could answer intelligently, but of course they didn't make the video. We all have a vote. It's scary to realize just how many of those votes have so little to do with reality.Killing threads since 2004.
skymiles 3 #2 September 16, 2009 Bigotry and stupidity seem to go hand in hand.
lawrocket 3 #3 September 16, 2009 Stupidity also goes hand-in-hand with self-righteous pretense. Bigotry is but a species of the latter. My wife is hotter than your wife.

What the TV people decide to play live, is not necessarily representative of the average person at the rally. They're looking for something controversial. Something stupid. And they have their own bias as to how they want to make things look...

Lucky... 0 #6 September 21, 2009 I love that, I am not supporting Joe Wilson for president (as he holds a tall sign stating Joe Wilson for pres)!!!! God, it's an insult to call that irony. Fascism is socialism, as well as communism. http://ask.yahoo.com/20050920.html Like socialism and communism, fascism uses a central authority to maintain control, but "terror and censorship" are common. It results from economic failure in democratic political systems. Interestingly, while socialism and communism are both on the left end of the political spectrum, fascism contains elements of both "left and right ideology" and rises from economic collapse. Neo-Fascism denounces organized labor and advocates corporatism. This is a pretty good explantion, apparently Clem didn't read this. What a good video to express the ignorance of Americans. I've yet to have anyone show me a major federal tax cut and illustrate success for others than teh very rich. BTW, how did you get all those DZCOM members together at one time? It ddin't look like a boogie?
