What is your point that the U.S Justice system is as good as Indonesia?

You may get that warm fuzzy feeling thinking that your country´s justice system is a bit better than indonesia´s, but that is not enough to me, specially if you are going to tell everybody how good justice is in the U.S.

Bill, I've been inside a couple of US prisons, and all the jails in the Bay Area. It's pretty much impossible to torture somebody to death without getting caught and prosecuted.

Do you really think the value of a countrys justice sytem is based on how long the sentences is gives out are? Good justice systems give out longer sentences? Really? How funny?

I respect the fact that Indonesians heard the facts in this case and handed out a sentence that it felt was appropriate. Why don't you?

I think that a good justice system is the one that gives proportionate sentences to the crime done and only the crime is looked upon, not who commited. Or at least in the who did what, what counts much much more than the who.

Because if it had been an insurgent giving the "coup the grace" to a wounded american, he would have gotten a bullet in his head rather than just 3 years.
That is specially bad considering that you guys are in Irak, which does not belong to the U.S.

As new to the country I perhaps misundestood. The revolutionary war was fought against:

a) an invading army
b) an occupying force
c) the official governing party

Now, like I said, I'm an alien here, but it was my undertanding that until the taxes started to get hiked up everyone was pretty happy.

Perhaps Im confused, but checking out basic history it seems that some anti-american feeling was going on for a few years before it got bloody.

Those same colonists led directly to the revolution and independence, the first patriots.

It all depends on what the U.S is doing in Irak, if you guys are after the oil, or some shady business, you are right, the situation may not be as bad. However, if you are liberating Irak and trying to win over the population to your cause in order to defeat terrorism, the problem is much worse that what your leader would like to admit.

So you think that the situation is well in Iraq? Forget about those pesky civilians that always seem to block the bullets with their heads, think about how many american have died, and how many have lost limbs (and therefore are going to be a financial load on the system) since the beggining?
And for what? supposing there was a plan before starting the war, how much of that plan do you think it has been acomplished?
