They slipped it in in the wording that no legal term can be applied to same sex couples. Ohio accidently worded it so that even opposite sex couples have no benifits with out marriage They put a "summery" on the ballot but left the wording so it was aimed at banning "gay marriage" but is did a whole lot more then just that.
