cptchaos 0 #1 July 7, 2006 ilive in capetown south africa. i broke my back 4 years ago doing a low turn(27 jumps) i was told i would never walk again and more shocking.. never skydive. one year later i proved them wrong by doing my first tandem on the anniversary of my accident. i decided then that i would come back to the sport for real. i was told that because i was paralized i would never be able to jump on my own and that it could not be done. shortly after this i got in touch with an instuctor called "tonto" he was the first to say that it could be done and that he would guide me. i invented a few simple pieces of equipment and got started with aff. to make a long story short, i now have 60+ jumps and loving itall that is gold does not glitter not all those who wander are lost! DanDanInc 5 #5 August 20, 2006 Any video yet? I have a friend that was hit in a drunk driving accident involving the other driver being drunk. All of his friends are pissed. Since I just started my AFF I realized that this was a good place to find out weather or not he could jump. He knows all about my jumps and I would really love to toss him out of a perfectly good plane. I did tell him that is has been done I have also told him about the accident that happened within the past year and he could care less about that. He feels bad and wished his best for their family but he still wants to move his body at roughly 120-140-160 mph not aided by a vehicle. Thank you for any info up front.Sincerely, Daniel (not as fat as he thinks he is) Adams http://www.skyjump.com http://www.vimeo.com/dandaninc http://www.youtube.com/dandaninc

Ammon 0 #8 September 23, 2006 Good for you!! Way to stick to your dreams and passion after such a traumatic experience. I'm pretty much a newbie (20 jumps) although, I watched my dad for years skydiving while I was a kid. I have a friend who is paraplegic. We climbed El Cap last year and he wants to climb it again this year, but in a day this time. I suggested he did a tandem jump to celebrate after the climb. Any tandem instructors with any more info on techniques, let's hear it please. I'm thinking a big cushion on his arse.... haa haa. Cheers, Ammon"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
