mountainman 0 #3 September 24, 2001 Seems to me that we're going to really have to see how this turns out. If those bastards get money, than that is going to go to shit because it will give more ammo to anyone else wanting to sue. But, if they dont get jack, than I think that it will be good to show that those waivers have SOME type of legitamacy(sp?). Personally, I don't think that they should get a dime. If you are under canopy, you should know WHO and WHAT is around you. Plain and simple. Esecially that guy with 3 jumps. You should know better by then.--------------Richmond Boogie pics... JMC 0 #4 September 24, 2001 I don't know what kind of waiver they signed, but the one I signed was 3-4 pages and I had to initial almost every sentence including the one that said I would not sue. I would imagine every DZ would have the same type of waiver. Mayby the guy with on his first jump could sue the guy with 3 jumps but that's about it. I really hope these guys dont get any cash out of this.John
flyhi 24 #5 September 24, 2001 QuoteTheir barrister, Andrew Morrison, SC, told Acting Judge Clifford Boyd-Boland it would be their case that the system for novice skydivers put in place by the company was "thoroughly unsafe". Is that how you spell it? Oh, sorry, I was thinking of something else. flyhi
