Tasadin 0 #1 May 6, 2003 Got a new rig at the weekend. I will post pics but not til i cleaned it up from piling in on my arse. Typical was only my second jump on it too . I got a javelin J1, in blue/green with EXE 150, and a decellerator reserve. Hmm think the landing may have been cos i downsized from a 170 too . Put pics up tomorrow off to clean and practice packing seeing as tho im at work and on night shift. Any special tricks for getting grass stains out of the risers?? BBKid 0 #4 May 6, 2003 It must be a UK requirement to biff in your barnd new baby. Every time I've seen someone flashing their new toy at my DZ it has ended the day covered in mud and crap. Biscuit 0 #7 May 6, 2003 QuoteQuoteAny special tricks for getting grass stains out of the risers?? I recommend OXYCLEAN or one of it's many immitators. My boyfriend somehow dragged his rig through the mud last year, it's part white. Right after that he got in a car accident and wasn't able to use it until recently, so I cleaned it up for him. All it took was making a nice paste with the oxyclean and about 30 minutes of loving scrubbing. OXYCLEAN. The stain specialist! It changed my life. ****************************************** The last mosquito that bit me had to book into the Betty Ford Clinic. -Patsy
robskydiv 0 #8 May 6, 2003 This same type of inident has happened in the USA also. As I recall, it couldn't have happened to a nicer fella either. But it was muddy outside and he happened to slide on his back quite a few meters.
Faber 0 #9 May 6, 2003 it depends how hard you hit.. ill recomend to get as much off before it dry(whith out pressing in further into the hardness or other),then let it dry, take a vacumcleaner ans carefull try to suck up as mus as you can(you can now crats on it to get it lose)for the rets youll need water a soft thing to scrub whith and then work on it..let it dry see if you missed somthing if nessesary "wash"it again. But dont be too hard at it while you can ruin the fibers in your rig so it could look like old velcro at that place.. Weloome to the club,i also only got 2 jumps in my new setup before i had mud and grass on it Stay safe Stefan Faber
