This might seem a little far in advance but, I called some places in Franfurt>sp last week to book reservations for the upcomming world cup and they alrady have places booked up. I had to call 7 different hotels just to get spot reserved for 3 weeks.

Anywho, what if anything are you guys going to be doing or world Cup 2006?

But seriously folks.... I'll watch the later round games on cable. In the US, we are lucky if any of the games are broadcast live, even in the middle of the night. I think one of the broadcast networks might carry the finals, but I wouldn't expect to see any of the other games without cable.

You can see all the games you want, just watch Univision! Not only are the matches covered commercial free, you get to listen to the world's greatest futbol announcer, Andres Cantor. So what if you no habla Espanol? If you know and like soccer, you'll have no problem following Sr. Cantor's descriptions.

I find that for soccer games, just watching the game is excitement enough. If the announcer gets really into it he can draw a good crowd but for me it's all about the gameplay not the commentary.
