Heavy drinking

Recommended Posts

Did you know that if you drink alot..or use to drink alot
And then you get a physical,That test results can show signs of high levels of liver counts (forget the med. term)
And that can show hepatitis A,B, oR C?
Then you can never donate blood and better stop drinking!

Well, I DO !
GET A CHECK-UP !
their sorta like gear checks! But not that often!

AND the liver is also one of the more recuperative organs in the body. So as long as you haven't already irreversably screwed your liver, good behavior and clean living can help it bounce back.

Oh, yeah. Try getting tanked up and then donating blood. Your liver panels would be high.

For most physicals, they want you to eat or drink nothing for 12 hours beforehand. This is so that your body presents a good picture of itself.

If you used to drink a lot and you have high liver panels, um, you've got some problems.

I agree with you, though. GET A CHECKUP!

That's what a hangover really is... your dehydrated brain is pulling @ the lining that holds it to your skull as it shrinks. The stretching of the lining hurts like a mofo...

i can't donate blood - my blood pressure's too low.

There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear.

That's a good thing.
Basically I'm a whiskey/scotch drinker..
3 yrs ago when I was 40 I had the same lab result involving liver panels test stuff.
So, I now at 43 (w/insurance) I got a check-up and
I'm not in bad shape..May still live to 100 yr!
I've got too many friends with liver problems, already been to a funeral for a friend (35yr old)
So, I want to keep better track of my health!
Glad I found out, been inspired to just quit drinking.
Oh, and those exercise pills, and anyting else that says "do not take if liver problems..." I won't be taking them.

I can't give blood so who ever out there has B+ blood and lives in my region - thanks for donating. :)

I can't donate either, so I'll stick with drinking
