Fresh herbs

Recommended Posts

Just pruned the basil I've been growing and now my fingertips are greenish and have this sweet aroma. Hhmmm em.:)
Amazing how my herbs are sprouting new leaves as I groom them.

And no, I'm not turning into Martha Stewart:P

Smash some garlic, basil, tomato, with some olive oil and parmessan or romano cheese....(u can include some cilantro too) and have some pasta sauce.......

Basil is good on a piece of bread with a slice of Havarti cheese topped with balsamic vinegar. If you like tomatoes, put a slice on, as well.

There is nothing like growing your own herbs! The Basil is wonderful fresh. I have my own small herb garden, so I use a lot of fresh herbs. A really good one is Lemon Verbena, absolutely wonderful scent!

The tomato/cashew recipe sounds really good, as I have more tomatoes than I know what to do with, and that only from 2 plants! I have a yellow Roma Tomato that I have made some tomato sauce with and can't wait to make pasta with a 'yellow' sauce!
