jrmrangers 0 #1 July 23, 2011 I'm in the market for a helmet and I'm leaning towards the cookie Roc. I'm jumping an open face helmet now and I like the feel of the wind in my face when I jump , but should I consider a full face helmet? Is it a good choice for a noob? Any input is appreciated .Wait , I pull what first?

LouDiamond 1 #3 July 23, 2011 QuoteGo for Ozone, it has D3O.. Look at the report I linked below. One of the products they tested was d3o. Give it a read and see what you think. I'll make it easy for you, page 53 but specifically the last sentence on pg 54. http://www.scribd.com/doc/53423453/PadReport-Final Quote Because this material is so much stiffer than all the other materials we studied, even at 0.02/s, any calculated HIC would be very large regardless of any other details of the pad geometry. Consequently, we excluded d3o from the comparisons in this report. We believe that the utility of this material as a helmet pad is questionable."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

diablopilot 2 #5 July 24, 2011 Get a Roc then. Great helmet, good comfort, good protection, and the ability to hear better is a plus in some situations.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. pilot-one 0 #6 July 24, 2011 For the same money buy yourself a Tonfly Performer. I have both and the Tonfy is far superior in most aspects including head protection of which the Cookie has little.
