happythoughts 0 #1 March 2, 2004 article clicky Yesterday someone "threw" some ball bearings through a window. The window was the subject of controversy because the window-tint and some chemical cleaners caused a shadowy picture to appear. Some believe it was the Virgin Mary. This idea was actively promoted by the people who own the building, Shepherds of Christ Ministries (call it co-incidence). For skydivers, it looked like the Grim Reaper. Everyone can pick their own. Anyway, some nutcase broke the window. Todays question? Who is the bigger nutcase? People worshipping window stains or the person who thought it was important enough to break the windows. Click on the orig pic and see who you think it resembles. My fav is Ozzie. The outline of his hair is unmistakeable.
Unstable 9 #2 March 2, 2004 Both groups are nuts. Plain Nuts. I wish I was there to capitalize off all the nutcases though, could fund my "Unstable Goes to DeLand" fund..=========Shaun ==========
happythoughts 0 #3 March 2, 2004 I've been thinking about starting my own cult. The money is good and a resume is unimportant. However, there are some downsides that I can't face. I don't like working Sundays and your Easter weekend sucks.
turtlespeed 212 #4 March 2, 2004 This is going to get me flamed - but what else is new - I don't get it. I was always under the impression that you prayed to God. Yeah I kinda get the trinity thing but it stil confuses me alot. But doesn't the bible say something about worsiping idols and statues that ere not in the image of God? What is this praying to siants thing? Are they as powerful as God? I'm more of the mind set that it is closer to the egyptian beliefs of Ra and all the others - I mean there is a Saint for just about everything. Mutiple choice religion - MMMMmmmmmMMMMM goood!I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
Unstable 9 #5 March 2, 2004 QuoteI don't like working Sundays Yeah, from what I Read, those Crazy Cultists are in meeting like 15 hours on sunday. Hell, I went to 5 hours of Church Meetings this sunday and I thought I was ready to become a heathen...=========Shaun ==========
happythoughts 0 #6 March 2, 2004 QuoteI went to 5 hours of Church Meetings this sunday I think I may already be in a cult. Last Sunday, I was in 5 meetings, but fortunately they only lasted 70 seconds. It seems like I give these people all my money and spend all my free time there. My meetings wern't as fun, it was 3 hours of suit n' tie churchy church and 2 hours for planing sunday school activities for the next couple months...=========Shaun ==========
Meathorse 0 #8 March 2, 2004 QuoteThough some visitors expressed hope that God would redraw the Virgin Mary image on the windows, ministry leaders said they don't expect that to happen. Those ministry leaders don't have much faith in God's ability as an artist.

Watch the water behind an outboard motor and you'll see the same stuff. Besides, who wants a 12 foot picture of Ozzie back on their church window? It would surprise me if they didn't have it done that way to begin with.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
happythoughts 0 #11 March 2, 2004 Yeah, but the Virgin Mary on a bent Ring sight? No one would believe that you saw a virgin at the dz.
Tink1717 2 #12 March 2, 2004 Both are extreme nut cases. But maybe the one who broke the windows was trying to make a point to those who thought the window was some kind of holy shrine. Only time will tell, but I bet it's a jesus freak who wanted to stop others from worshiping an idol and follow the one true god (tm).Skydivers don't knock on Death's door.
