ripcord4 0 #1 August 2, 2010 I have a conventional military static line that had a piece of duct tape wrapped around it. After removing the tape, there is a residue of "stickum" left on the static line. What can I use to safely remove the gooey stuff? Goo-Gone? Alcohol? Any solvents? ripcord4 0 #5 August 5, 2010 I imagine it was to ID the rig for some reason. There is nothing wrong with the static line or D-bag. I can't imagine anyone jumping a static line held together with duct tape! Then again............
ripcord4 0 #6 August 5, 2010 Mick, Alcohol and a little elbow grease took the sticky residue off completely. Thanks again.
