I don't know if it helps or not. I quit using it. It's simply designed to keep the slider in place until line stretch. Instead I accomplish it by using about a 6 inch bight and pull it right up against the slider grommets.

On slider up, I do the micro reefing folds to the stabilizers to help hold the slider in place. Slider down, I may or may not do the micro reefing folds.

This is one of my slider off packjobs so no primary stow/slider. But helps you explain the tail pocket.
