Honoruru 0 #1 June 20, 2009 So I'm a noob and I just bought a used vector 3 and have a main canopy on the way. I still need a set of risers and I'm wondering what length I should get. I understand that 20" is pretty standard. I'm about 6'2" with long limbs. UPT has 19", 21", 23", and 25." Any suggestions?
redramdriver 0 #3 June 20, 2009 i custom ordered 24". But whatever is comfortable for you. 23 may be to short, may be just right..25 could be to long and you can't reach the slider when you need to. bigway 4 #4 June 20, 2009 I get asked this question from every single customer....... At first I had the manufacturers suggest what they think is best for their system. For you I would say 23. You should be comfortable with your relationship with the dealer to ask these sort of questions. Make sure you let your dealer know if you are having trouble with any parts of your order form as we submit these on a daily basis. Your next question will probably be the VGH, I point most of my customers towards a one piece. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
erdnarob 1 #5 June 20, 2009 You should be able to reach your slider at arm extension. I am 6 feet high and have my Vector III with 23" risers. Maybe 25" would be better for you. You have to keep in mind that if your risers are too short you will not be able to brake your canopy as deep as with long risers since the toggle range is shorter.Learn from others mistakes, you will never live long enough to make them all.
