VONAGE, VOIP recording

I have Vonage.. Which I am very happy with..

I would like to be able to record my phone calls on my pc..

Anyone know of a good program to use that has a demo version?

You can grab ANY of those programs able to "catch" whatever goes thru your soundcard.

That isn't how it works... VOIP doesn't use a sound card... Goes from cable modem to a broadband router with 2 phone jacks that give any phone dial tone.. A cable goes from that broadband router to your pc..

You are right the sound card method wouldn't work. Not sure the exact setup vonage uses, but the version my company uses you would need to have a sniffer set up on your computer that reads the packets being sent to your phones IP address then it would have to decode them.

Not saying it can't be done, but it won't be a simple program.

Are you using their 'soft phone'? If not, you'll have to use a 'normal' phone recording device. Which you could connect to your computer and record that way.

Nope.. Just using a regular phone plugged into the rt31p2 router they sent me...

If you're a techie you can use Vomit I've used it, works pretty well in the scenerios I've used it in.

I believe it only works with Cisco though.
