Top 10 reasons why i should go to S. Africa

Recommended Posts

How about watching some flying sharks?? I saw a show in Discovery Channel about these awesome sharks. Broke my heart though everytime they got a hold of the very very very cute seals!!! Sometimes, a penguin or two gets caught up in the melee as well!! [:/]

To finally meet that native woman you’ve had a romantic crush on ever since you began carrying National Geographic magazines into the bathroom? (knock knock; “Aw ma, I’m just reading it for the science stuff”; sticky pages.)

Don't come here.

If you do come, you'd better stay, or life will appear pretty mundane when you get home.

Darwin works here every day. It's truely a blend between being able to get whatever you need, and survival of the fittest. Even the predators here know what it's like to feel like prey.

4. Even though we only jump on weekends we jump turbines in Johannesburg

5. Our people are friendly

What are you waiting for?

Our cities are pretty tame, no wild animals there, but we do have an abundance of National Parks, the biggest of which is the Kruger Park, that's where the Big 5 hang out: Lion, Elephant, Hippo, Buffalo, Rhino.

So why did I need to import?

2. Our country is made up of some of the most beautiful terrain and natural beauty you'll ever set eyes on.

Which I will never set eyes on if it's not on the way to the DZ...

3. Our summers ROCK

Because of the hole in the Ozone layer caused by the industrial world (esp those who fail to sign to Kyoto accord)

4. Even though we only jump on weekends we jump turbines in Johannesburg

Correct.

5. Our people are friendly

:D You're a funny guy. I'll shoot you last.

6. You'll come here, have the time of your life and be able to go home and dispel all of the bad rumours that get spread about this country

Yes, but would that be a good thing? surely more would come?

7. You'll find out what "Sawubona, Dankie, Totsiens and Howsit" really mean

yes...

8. You'll see wild animals. And they won't be in zoos.

No. They'd be in Benoni.

9. We'll make you a real South African "Braai"

Indeed!

10. And duh, cos we'll finally get to meet you in person!

True

Hey Peej,

so what would be the best experience, hotels, bunkhouse, or tent at the dz?

I doubt you'll find many hotels near JSC bro, in summer i'd happily throw out my tent but when we stayed over two weeks ago we slept on an air mattress in one of the classrooms cause it was cold and the bunkhouse was full.

The best experience would be to try them all, and then decide for yourself. However our DZ does not have hotels but i guess you could book into a B&B ;)

Tell'em Peej, South Africans ROCK!!!!!! t, you had to import cause sometimes local is not always lekker ;)

You can most definately organise hunting trips down here, i have no idea where though as i'm not much of a hunter myself, but it's possible.
And dude, South African culture is based on meat! (Now where's that hungry icon?) :D
