If buy Zen you mean, a momment of singular clarity, then the times I have been in a Zen momment is when I've had to make split second decissions, once in the air ( a cutaway) and a couple of times on the ground (one involving a motorbike and a corner).
On these occassions there is nothing but calm and focus.

When I jumped off a tower from 400 ft., landed right next to a constable's car and he said something like, "I'm going to have to detain you."

There is a certain clarity to moments like that and it was very clear in my mind that I was screwed.

Yes, it happend just like that, and he held us until a sheriff's deputy arrived. After running warrant checks, the deputy let us go and told us he'd better never see us again.

He didn't. I stuck to night jumps after that.
