This is the one I'm working on now. Seems to be a good pattern and very easy compared to others I've seen. May need to slim it down some and definitely change the location and style of the pockets. Hopefully this helps someone. http://www.thegreenpepper.com/downloads/142web.pdf

Does anyone know how long the wait would be as of now for a vortex? Also would it be best to order direct rather than go through a rep? Thanks for any info

background, I have 131 jumps, the past 80 or so jumps on a sabre1 170. I was completely convinced that the sabre2 170 was the next canopy for me. After I finally got around to demoing the sabre2 around 90 jumps I was really impressed and noticed a complete change in comparison to the sabre1, definitely a much better canopy all around. The openings however, left much too be desired, although they were not hard like the sabre it would dive to one direction or the other in a pretty swift motion. I still loved it but thought it would be wise to try another canopy and decided to take advantage of the free demo's offered by beezy. I got a nitro 150 within a few days after contacting beezy(which I ended up buying by the end of the demo period) and wow what an amazing canopy. Compared to the sabre2 it was better in all respects. The openings were the straightest on heading I have ever had, the glide was phenomenal. In turbulence it doesn't breathe like a spectre or sabre 1 or 2, it flys solid. The front riser pressure was less than the sabre2 and responded much more to all inputs toggle turns r.risers f.risers and a major improvement on harness input. Don't get me wrong I loved the sabre2 as I do the spectre and sabre1 but the nitro is just amazing. I do realize that the Nitro is a different type of canopy its more elliptical than a sabre2 and was smaller than any of the other canopies I had flown which could explain the flight improvements over the other canopies mentioned, however I did not notice a major change in flight speed or ground speed. It definitely is not a radical canopy atleast at a 1.14 wing loading. It was a very comfortable step from the 170's I had flown before. I would definitely recommend anyone to try it with in the parameters of the chart. Why not try it? it's a free demo which to me says something in itself.

Had to cancel AFF this weekend - hurt my eardrum

Some pain or pain. If it's just some pain take some Sudafed or any type of decongestant and jump. I'm half deaf after 3 or 4 jumps. but It always comes back gradually through out the night. Being that you went to the doctor, however, it must have been pretty painful. -
great, I live like 5 blocks from there. I will be able to see you guys from my house.

Guido, where is the demo? I live in asheboro, so maybe i can get some friends together to come watch and hopefully it will encourage them to make there first leap. Anyway, I think I've only spoken to you once or twice but if you need anything while in Asheboro give me a call 3362673109

Just to ease your mind, I sold a rig to a guy in new zealand, some how it got caught up in customs and didn't arrive untill 4 months later. I know the guy probably thought I had scammed him. But we remained in contact, it's pretty strange that he's disapeared.

I voted for the moment I exit, but really it's the moment right before exit. More specifficaly on the first jump of the day. -

I've got a better one for you... Last year during our families Christmas dinner, my grandfather told me in front of the entire family that if I continued to skydive I was going to go to Hell. (he's a wesleyan) Hell of a christmas. -
If there was a pole with no windsock or other eye catching things on it, chances are someone is going to run into it. The good thing is that you just ran into it and didn't jab a toggle. Just sounds like a run of bad luck. I'm no where close to having a tandem rating so my opinion means squat, but I've often heard the TM's talk about tandems hurting the rest of there flying. In the end only you can make the decision to leave the sport, but I believe like the others on this forum. If you do leave you'll probably be back. I love to play golf, I used to take it seriously and it sucked. Then I realized that the whole fun was being able to drink and drive without getting harassed by the police. Play every man drinks one beer per hole, loser of each hole has to chug another beer before reaching the next hole.
