combat jumps expect 50% casulties just from the drop
broken legs and ankles but that is better than being shot in the harness

The only time I heard that was when the Rangers were running past us during PT -which was rare actually; our PT and Ranger PT were on different schedules due to our unit being 24/7.

I think we heard that the most on the east coast during training. ALL of my Drill Sargeants were Rangers...:S that made life shitty for us! :ph34r:

Actually the Army uses the T10C that has a larger lower lateral band thanks to an inlargement of the Pocket Opening Band (POB) that there are 15 of on the T-10. this meaning that the parachute can handle more weight etc...

We tested the CQ rig some years ago at 350 feet. Count to 4 and be ready to land.... So as long as I am on this subject thank god for the riggers doing a great job..........
