mattjw916 2 #51 May 11, 2006 meh... don't force yourself to go jump... I got bored and have been doing tunnel like crazy to work on specific stuff and catapult my freeflying to a new level when I start again. I even have a brand new rig sitting in my living room disassembled and I have no desire to start working on it at the moment. Come out to our tunnel in Colorado. It's pure heaven.NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

skycat 0 #54 May 11, 2006 QuoteWhat do you guys do when you lose your obsession with skydiving? You aren't going to like my answer, but I went rock climbing, snowboarding, and mountain biking instead. Sometimes it's easier not to fight it, but after 2 years I think I'm ready to get re-current, except the plan is to just travel to boogies. I don't want skydiving to become a chore or feel like a job again. I think what really got to me with skydiving is it could really only be done on weekends (where I live), couldn't be squeezed in after work and you spent a lot of time sitting around waiting for your load basically spending 10 hours for 4-5 minutes of pleasure. Every thing else I was doing was actually better to do on weekdays because there were less people in the mountains, and I could easily knock out 10-12 climbs in 2-3 hours at the rock gym after work.Fly it like you stole it! brianfry713 0 #56 May 11, 2006 Make the drive part of the fun. Go fast, take chances, see what kind of a rush you can get. I also like to listen to Skydive Radio on the way to and from the DZ. It keeps me motivated to jump and passes the time.
