josheezammit 0 #1 July 25, 2006 so this past weekend i got to jump at Zhills, Sebastian, and Space center for the first time, and I thought it was great. I however felt different then i normally feel when jumping. Maybe its because in the back of my head i knew there was a freefly coach scrounging for students, or I know there was a beautiful lady marking the load board up in manifest, or a dodgeball match going on in the packing room. anyway, my point is there is no place like you home DZ, the place where you got your first taste of it all, and the place where you feel head over heels for the sky. I love you Skydive san marcos and all of you that make it what it is, you who make it so great! give a shout out to your home dz Ahh, what a wonderful world. GogglesnTeeth 6 #2 July 25, 2006 I gotta agree 100% Florida is nice with it's big DZ's, Fast Planes, Jumping all year long (as long as you don't mind the humidity!) But I truly miss my "Home" DZ. RkyMtnHigh 0 #3 July 25, 2006 I definitely miss MileHi in Colorado. The comradity with my fellow jumpers was great. Even on weather holds or weathered-out days, we would still go and hang out. Jumpers had juggling pins, hacky sacks, massage table or chair, guitar, unicycle, kites, played frisbee with my puppy, Kozzie....we had fun passing the time together. SuperDave would have us over for awesome BBQ and play pool. Florida dz's have been great too, but sometimes the jumpers are so transient that it can be overwhelming and the cozy family feeling isn't there. _________________________________________ Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
