porterhouse 0 #1 August 18, 2006 Can anyone out there who can help diagnose the check engine light on a 2001 Saab 9-3? Does anyone know if there any way to do a self test on the car and diagnose what what the problem is, before I take it in to get fixed? Thanks!

monkycndo 0 #3 August 18, 2006 Go to Kragens/Checkers/Pep Boys type auto parts store and pick up an ODB-2 car analyzer. I got mine for around $65. It will give the the basic code. It might not tell you the exact problem, but it will get you in the right direction and tell if it is something that might be able to wait or needs to be fixed now.50 donations so far. Give it a try.
