Muenkel 0 #27 November 29, 2006 Oh blah, blah, blah to the naysayers. I know I'm not going to get quite the deal Michele did. Anyway, I like the car, I'm paying cash, I feel they gave me an acceptable price and they are also giving me a decent trade in value. Besides, I'll probably just trade it in in a year and a half when I see something else that catches my eye. Muenkel 0 #28 November 29, 2006 QuoteMeh. For 197HP I can't believe that it only puts out 139 pound of torque. Well, I test drove the car. In regard to the torque; I have many steep hils where I live and the car had plenty of pep getting up the hills. You just have to be in the right gear. The car is also a bullet. Chris You've not driven many cars I assume. That's not fast... You're in a small car low to the ground. It's a false sense of what's fast since you're driving a go cart. 70 Chevelle 396 Muncie 4spd with a Dana 411 rear end was fast. And stock. 2007 Porcshe 911 Carrera GT Turbo S is fast. 2006 Audi RS4 is fast... A 2007 Honda Civic Si hatch is not a bullet, it's a Japanese tin can with a high compression motor. 197hp and 139ftlbs of torque is pretty sub par for a car packaged as a Sport model. Look elsewhere, buy an Acrua RSX or if you need the backseat room look at a TSX. Hell even a Infinity G35 Coupe is faster and supplies more torque to the road. You've got the money, quit low balling and get a decent vehicle. Muenkel 0 #30 November 29, 2006 QuoteYou've not driven many cars I assume. Your assumption would be wrong. This will be my 7th car in 10 years...one of them being an Acura RSX Type S. I've also owned an Acura Integra Special Edition, Acura 3.2TL, Acura MDX, the above mentioned RSX Type S, and an '06 Honda Civic EX. Whatever you say about the torque of the Si, I told you, I drove it and it is loaded with power. I'll give you the argument regarding the Porsche and I will concede that it is not the most powerful car on the road...but I like it.Chris _________________________________________ Chris

Muenkel 0 #40 December 1, 2006 Well I picked up my new Si today and I love it. I think I'm going to have problems with speeding tickets now. Anyway, about the torque; I don't know what any of you are talking about. I live in the mountains and deal with many very steep hills. I had absolutely no problem with power going up the hills. And as for 0-60, no problem either. If there was any hesitation it was due to my delayed shifting. I have to get used to the 6 speed. I noticed the difference in gear ratio from my 5 speed immediately. Yes Scott, you can take it for a spin. Just make sure you bring it back.
