STAG 0 #1 November 9, 2006 What is the consensus on the best place to purchase Rawa helmets? The helmet has been reccomended to me as something I can use comfortably now, and will also be easy to mount a camera to in 80-90 more jumps. Any info. appreciated

lguard8 0 #3 November 9, 2006 I got mine from aerostore and was very happy with the service and delivery time. They said 4 weeks but mine came in about 3. I also second the waiting till at least 200 jumps before strapping on a camera.www.lukeevens.com http://beachbodycoach.com/lguard8
TaylorC 0 #4 November 9, 2006 got mine from aerostore as well took 4 weeks to get like they said and had no problems with it. And yeah wait till you have 200 jumps roughly so your comfortable in the air before you add another thing that can cause trouble.
pilotdave 0 #5 November 9, 2006 The rawa has a built in d-box for the camera, which is great when you want a camera. But you probably won't want to wear a camera helmet on every jump. Buy something else for now and get a camera helmet when you're ready for a camera. You will need to know what kind of camera you have before you buy the helmet anyway, so it's a bad idea to buy the camera helmet before the camera. fmmobley 0 #6 November 9, 2006 I got my Rawa from Aerostore as well and was pleased with the helmet and their service. I agree with the others, however, buy a cheap Protec or something until you are ready to fly the camera.... Marion

Any info. appreciated FYI (RAWA helmet options), RAWA makes a standard open-face helmet (Freefly Estilo) that is not designed for camera-mounting ($200). RAWA also makes a camera helmet (Freefly Imagem) with a flat top, side-mounted camera-specific box and chin cup ($360). The camera helmet can be purchased without the camera box ($260). And then the camera box can be purchased later ($140). MikeChutingStar.com
