Washing machine

Recommended Posts

I've got a really technical question for you all:

If the washing machine suddenly makes big "clicking sound" and takes the power down, and then goes on to smell like burnt plastic, could it be that it is broken?

:)

Well, laugh, please, I need a laugh, this was the last thing I needed. I think I'll go and revive a rant thread!

:(

Yes... and I imagine my washing machine will do that one of these days...

Its like old and stuff... 30+ years old in fact. They sure don't make stuff like they used to... :D

Wow! 30 years! And mine was only 6 years old.

Stupid plastic thing.

Good thing I didn't just put it on and left, that's the way a lot of fires start.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll just get a slave to take my laundry down to the river and wash it. Everyone knows that the stone/river model requires at least one slave.

I thought about buying the packer Giacomo and turning him into a packing slave. The purchase price was pretty low, but seeing as he required food and lodging, it wasn't that cheap.

I'm sure he could do washing duties.

My body loved that man. Because of his perfect sabre pack jobs.

5 yrs. ago when i bought my 23 yr. old house, it came with admiral appliances (over 10 yrs. old) so i stored my new washer & dryer (should have stored the admirals as now my warrantee on new appliances is over and they haven't been used!)

Anyway- damned if the old appliances still work fine, even the fridge & stove and especially the dish washer. Have to live with the mustard color but.............talk about built to last!

I bought 3 yr. warrantee with my desktop PC and just under 3 yr. harddrive, motherboard, fan, power supply, cd rom/rw drive were replaced with new & upgraded ......been 6 yrs. now so no problems with having to buy new!!

SMiles;)

you know, You have a point there.

I heard that parts that used to be made of metal are now made of plastic. Hence the burnt plastic smell.
