Would've preferreed to get tanked but altitude and alcohol don't mix that well.

Yeah, it does!! I thought that was the draw of intercontinental flights!! (Ambien is the last option after all else has failed on Long Distance Flights!!--knock 'em the f**k out!)

Luckily, I usually don't have problems sleeping on flights.

Flying home for vacation from over here, I try to catch a couple hours after takeoff...that gives me enough rest so that I'm able to make it to a "normal' bedtime that evening, once I'm home. If I can get that, I'm usually not jet-lagged at all.

Flying back to work, I try to sleep as much as possible on the eastbound flight - when they wake me up for landing, I've had a good amount of rest and my 'body clock' is in sync with my location, and again, not jet-lagged.
