Possible 1st Rig??

Hi,

I've seen a couple of adverts for a couple of rigs that i think maybe ok for me as a starter rig. Ive pasted them below:

My weight is 130lbs. I've checked the wingloading and these particluar canopies come in at 0.94. If anyone can give any advice as to whether these are any good or not i would be most grateful. They aren't located to far from me either so i could easily go and have a look.

One other thing that i should mention is that they are being sold by a gear shop at a DZ. I was thinking that this must be a good thing as surely they wouldnt sell anything that was dodgy?? Could be wrong though

I agree, but the main (17yo F-111) could well be shagged out.

I'm not too keen on the reserve size of the first container. On a first rig, I would start you off on a PD160 or similar. Maybe 170 main, if all of your training is going well, and you are on it.

Just my opinion. Worth what you paid for it.

The Teardrop is a much better container as its free fly friendly, but as previously said the main is probably car cover material.
Get information on the number of jumps the main has, but F111 canopies are normally only good for less than 1000 jumps.
