Fraekin McAfee

I've removed as much of this software as I know how but it still pops up asking me to renew my subscription.

Ideas anyone?

Had a similar problem, still get a nastygram everytime i boot up. For me it was something in the registry.

I love my McAfee. It used to piss me off when I had dial-up, but now that I have satellite; no more.

And I also like that I contribute in some small way in keeping Eric employed.

I had McAfee for many years. Paid for the yearly subscription, etc....

Then I decided to try out a free one, works so far for me anyway.

try AVG. There is a free version with updates, and it works good. Not the system hog that McAfee is either.

Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.
