Hausse 0 #1 January 23, 2008 I was just asked by my teacher to do a research project for some contest and I was just looking through themes which would be nice. It can be about every thing connected to chemistry and has to be at least 10 pages long. I'm at the moment in Organic II so it doesn't have to be too simple, but I do not have the resources for a complicated synthesis or something like that. I suppose I would be able to get some lab time though. I couldn't come up with a good idea yet. skiskyrock 0 #4 January 23, 2008 The steroid hormones in birth control pills have endocrine disrupting/feminizing effects on fish exposed to waste water. Everybody is looking at this because we know about how many people are on the pill. Might be interesting to do a research project on the effects of abused steroids on things living downstream. Look at the chemicals involved in making f-111 and zp and the performance differences? or, are there any chemicals inside cypres cutters? you could look at how the use of those chemicals has changed fatality ratios...
