PLFXpert 0 #2 March 17, 2008 I saw a truck with a lone sticker--"Against Me"--and found it curious. Thus, I googled and listened to a couple tunes. Not bad--actually I really liked their sound. But, I haven't bought the album. Nor, have I found much of "what's new these days" remotely original. I don't care how much I sound like my mom, now. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. Shotgun 1 #7 March 17, 2008 They do sound a lot like the White Stripes. I discovered the White Stripes a few years ago when my friend Frank gave me their CD. He had bought it for himself and thought it was total crap, so he figured that I would like it, and he was right.

Misternatural 0 #10 March 17, 2008 Definitely not new but favorite lately in the last three days: Phish- some jazz chords, a lil reggae, funky time signatures, smokin' fast riffs "You can feel good, good - good about Hood" Beware of the collateralizing and monetization of your desires. freethefly 6 #11 March 18, 2008 Mark Kozelek of the Red House Painters other band, Sun Kil Moon. His covers of Modest Mouse tunes are worth a serious listen to. Actually, I like his versions of the songs better than Brocks. Jumpervint 0 #12 March 18, 2008 Okkervil River, Vampire Weekend, Dengue Fever and Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. I listen to KEXP online. They play a lot of great music you don't hear on commercial radio. Vint. . . . . "Make it hard again."
