freeflyz 0 #1 March 25, 2009 Hello Houston, Well I was seeing if anyone can a help a brother out,I'm trying to go to work for Skydive Space land but I'm a single father of a 2 1/2 year old and I don't know a soul in Houston, just wanted to know if anyone is a single mother or father that work there or if anyone is in the position as I am. My hats off to all the single moms out there that have been doing this by themshelfs!
regulator 0 #2 March 25, 2009 I jump at spaceland and I'm just a jumper. I don't work there or even have any kids. But I can say that you now know one person from spaceland. I'd be willing to assist you with anything other than babysitting. What did you want to do at spaceland? AFF Instructor?
doug925 0 #3 March 25, 2009 No children, (hell I'm scared of pets as too much of a commitment) but you now know another Spaceland jumper. Doug. I have never developed indigestion from eating my words. Winston Churchill
nbblood 0 #4 March 25, 2009 I'm married with a two-year old and I work there. My wife is on a 4-way team that trains frequently, so I understand the problem. We are constantly battling the issue too. Our daughter is regularly out at the DZ with us. But one of us is always grounded with her. Now you know another Spaceland jumper/staff.....with a very similar problem.Blues, Nathan If you wait 'til the last minute, it'll only take a minute. wmw999 2,334 #6 March 26, 2009 Another Space cadet here. And I think I've met you a couple of times, too. I'm a single mother, but my son is 25 , so I don't think that counts... Wendy W. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence.
