:D:D - I know what you mean...... Balloon next!!

Absolutely...now I just need to find one. Or maybe I'll just find a place that just gives balloon rides, and...

Balloon operator: "Hey what's that thing on your back?"
Me: "That? um...err...that's my backpack...yea...hey what's that over there?"
Balloon operator: "I don't see anyth..hey where'd he go???"

I'm sure everyone is curious about the sub-frame connectors I made for a 1984 AMC Eagle wagon this weekend. :S

I am. Seriously.

Passenger side: 2"X3"X1/8" The front butts to the back of the front frame section. The rear is parallel with the front of the rear frame rails (spring eye is top-left of last pic). They are mostly inside, maintaining ground clearance. Everything is made, cleaned, painted & ready for installation tomorrow. Some more reinforcements (in the form of 1X1 tubes) is planned for the front of the rocker to the front frame rail & floor. Otherwise the chassis is all poly bushings, sway bars front & rear, & HD springs. I've already modified a pair of Koni shocks to fit the front (I think the rear uses 1st or 2nd Gen Camaro/Nova shocks) & a 2nd Gen Z-28 P/S box is a bolt-on. Engine will be a slightly modded 258 (4.2L) I-6, 700R4 trans, 2-speed transfer case, 3.55:1 gears "Twin Grip" AMC 35 rear (with custom 1-piece axles), & Dana 30 front diff.

I'd say that was an awesome weekend - good for you:)
Mine was quiet and boring ... I couldn't shake this "blah" feeling and opted for being domestic; I'll do better next time ...

O

It's good to see more women out there makin' sammiches for the rest of us.

My brother's "new" street car/daily driver with a rally flavor.

1st pic: What we started with
2nd pic: His current daily driver

Eventually it will be black & white exterior, black & white interior.

That looks good! It's hard to find an AMC Eagle in good condition...seems like you guys are doing a helluva job on it! B|

Wow, Beautiful!
Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber.

Pretty cool idea. I'd never thought of doing that with an AMC, but hey, why not? Post more as you continue the project.
