flr169 0 #1 November 7, 2010 Hey all.... I just did a tranny swap in a 94 chevy ext cab truck....2wd auto.... everything went fine....got it all together doubled checked everything....start the truck and it runs fine back it down off the ramps and put it out side to check tranny fluid level.... get it good and now I take it for a ride to a buddies to drop off some tools I borrowed....come out and it isnt running anymore...try to restart it and nothing stone cold as if theres no battery... try to boost it and still nothing....headlights and interior light works but door buzzer doesn't work...emergency flasher doesnt work either.... totally lost now....I'm terrible at trouble shooting power or wiring issues... anyone have any ideas or experienced this themselves.... any help is greatly appreciated MikeLife's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting - "fcuk me what a ride!" AggieDave 6 #9 November 7, 2010 For your real question, it sounds like a loose ground. Is the grounding strap on the transmission solidly attached to clean metal?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
