ESPN ads

Recommended Posts

The marketing company working for ESPN must be raking it in, and they deserve it. For what seems like forever (twenty years or so?) their ads have been GREAT. They don't always make me ROFL, but just about every one brings a smile to my face. I love how they use the athletes, mascots, and other celebrities.

I honestly can say that if ESPN ever made a DVD of the history of their ad campaign and included a bunch of the ads from old to new, I would buy it. Yes, I would pay money for a collection of commercials. I think they're that good.

I haven't seen any directly tied to the NFL playoffs yet.

The one with Alexander Ovetchkin (sp?) as a Russian spy is a good one, and the "Roll Tide" one (especially the graveside eulogy part) is great.

Same here.......I've often told friends I'd love to sit in on some of their advertising brainstorming sessions, just to hear the ones that DIDN'T make it on air.

The Manning family taking the ESPN headquarters tour is still my favorite.....especially Archie's 'Don't make me stop this car !' look. :)
