EDYDO 0 #1 March 2, 2005 Does anyone have experience renewing plastic helmet lenses or goggle lenses? I have a number of otherwise good items laying around. I have used automotive polishing compound with some success, but I think it is possible to do better. Ed
riggerrob 558 #2 March 2, 2005 Some people use lemon Pledge furniture polish. Others buy glasses-restoring kits off the shopping channel.

wingnut 0 #4 March 3, 2005 at my work we have "canopy" resoration kits to use for the polycarbonate canopy on the f-16... i think the grits go from 4000 to 12,000 grit... but let me tell ya from experiance, if the lens can be bought for less than 50 bucks this method is not the way to go.. i resored my plastic visor to a motorcyle helmet and it took me about 4 hours to get it anywhere near usable..... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
