Canuck 0 #1 January 1, 2005 Question for people using a Suunto. Do you just use the regular altimeter mode, or once in that mode do you use that altitude difference sub-mode? I'm just wondering if one or the other updates faster. Got a vector for Christmas. Can't wait to play with it under canopy. Canuck
freekflyguy 0 #2 January 2, 2005 I use mine in normal Alti mode. I wear an Alti2 which I use during free fall, then use my Suunto under canopy to set up for landing. I prefer this way, but once I get a Neptune I will stop using both. BuzzIt's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
Chapsta 0 #3 February 6, 2005 I use it normally, but I haven't tried using the other mode yet. I jumped the suunto with an alti for a few jumps and was really surprised at how well it performed. I've got an X-lander and it updates rapidly the whole dive on regular mode. I'm pretty sure the vector is the same thing. the watch rocks under canopy! Eyes first right...
