nate_1979 9 #53 December 22, 2004 Quote With an analog model a common malfunction is "sticking", at which point the altimeter may give you a "false high" reading during freefall - which in my mind is the worst possible scenario. Funny you mention, that very thing happened to me TWICE with an analog which had about 10 jumps on it.. Free fallin, 9k, cool... freefallin, 9k, wtf, beep beep... Canopy opening seemed to knock it loose so it read altitude again, watched it in the plane next jump, worked fine up, jumped it a couple more times then the same thing... Got a new one, still need to send the old one in FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.
