What happened to SkyBands?

Where can I buy some more skybands? I cant seem to find them anywhere. Some lady at square3 told me they were recalled because of safety reasons, is that true? Thanks.

Not because of saftey reasons, there never was a hazzard. They stoped production because the company they has manufacturing the raw materials changed the formula causing thme not to be a durable. There is a new product in testing currently.

I talked to Ralph, the creator of Skybands this weekend. He had some quality-control problems with the large bands recently, so he pulled them. He now has a quality-control person at the manufacturer, and has just received a new batch. If he's satisfied with their quality, he'll begin shipping them to distributors relatively soon (don't have an exact date).

There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...

Sorry to revive an old thread, but someone mentioned these to me today and this was my most relevant google reference. Any update?

I was also told about these other bands which are green called "silly bands" or something similar which are the next best thing to skybands. Thanks.
