ifics 0 #1 April 26, 2004 Quick question. Is there a big size difference in a container built for a 170 compared to one built to fit a 150?
Hazarrd 1 #2 April 26, 2004 not sure what your reasoning for asking is, but i have a Javelin container built for a 150 and ive got a 170 in it...i know of others who do the same thing. .-.
bkdice 0 #3 April 26, 2004 It depends on the manufacturer. If you are buying a Wings, it's main tray is tight. I got mine sized for a 150 (sabre). It's TIGHT! A 135 will fit much better, and I'm sure a 120 would fit nicely in there too. But my old Javelin was built for a 150, and I'm sure I could have gotten something bigger in it. meltdown 0 #4 April 26, 2004 My container is a Javelin J2, and my wife's is a J3. I've put both a 150 and a 170 in both of them, and I can hardly tell the difference. If I'm packing sloppy, cramming the 170 into the J2 can be a bit of a challenge, but not too bad.
AggieDave 6 #5 April 26, 2004 Your best bet is to contact the manufacture of the container and talk to them. Tell them what kind of canopy and what kind of reserve is in it as well. They'll be able to tell you what you should or shouldn't be able to do. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
