I will be in Australia 1,5 months from the 14th of March next year, to see your country and, off course, to jump :D Which DZ's do you recommend? I will defenitely check out Ramblers..

Damn you will only just miss the funny farm boogie in Moruya (NSW).

I have not jumped much, and only at Skydive Nowra (NSW) (which is a good small dropzone). Since I go to a small dropzone some of the locals travel alot and I have heard many good things about Picton (NSW), Nagambie (VIC), Ramblers (QLD). Since I am only starting out I will also be following this thread closely.

Also there is a complete (?) list of Australian dropzones at the Australian Parachute Federation website. http://www.apf.asn.au/

Just keep in mind there are large distances to travel in australia. So if you are spending your time in Queensland it might be hard to get a jump or two in at nagambie unless you are visiting melbourne. And same for picton or nowra unless you are visiting sydney. Sorry for telling you to suck eggs, but I have had relatives who have asked to go for a day trip to see the opera house when I was living in Queensland.

I hopefully will have my b license by then so I am up for a jump. Just say where you will be, if you go to nowra, nagambie or picton. Btw Picton, Nagambie and Ramblers all go to 14000 feet, which I believe is a little higher than your local.

I jump at Picton every weekend, it's an awesome dz. You'll have lots of fun there.
I spent last weekend at Gloucester which is a lot smaller than Picton, and the people there are awesome. They are all so welcomming, I only got 2 jumps in because of bad weather, but I had the best weekend ever. I am trying to get back up there in the next few weeks. I would recommend this dz to absolutely anyone. Check out their website http://www.tandemskydiving.com.au/
Have fun is australia!

As my itinerary looks now I'll arrive Melbourne 12th of March and depart from Brisbane april 15th, so I have a month to travel between those two places, guess I have time to both jump a lot and look around a bit then..??

I'm sure up for a jump:D
