skip 0 #1 December 19, 2003 The top toggle keeper on my left riser is splitting and is frayed about half way up, is this somethign a local rigger can fix (just sew a new one on) or do the risers need to be replaced? thanks .:skip
panzwami 0 #2 December 19, 2003 Sounds pretty simple - can't imagine why something like that couldn't be fixed. Still want to actually talk to a rigger, tho. Matt -----
darkwing 4 #3 December 19, 2003 Yes, it can be fixed pretty easily. Often it is caused by improper stowing of the brakes. That kind of damage occurs when the locking loop is above the ring, rather than below it. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
rigging65 0 #4 December 19, 2003 Anything can be fixed...you just might need to find a bigger loft for some of the bigger things BTW, fixing a toggle keeper does not qualify as a "bigger thing". aneblett 0 #7 December 20, 2003 Yes it can be fixed... .. I had it done... tore the keeper right off in fact. stowed on brake inproperly.. the first week I had my stiletto.. Made for an "interesting" opening. I won't be doing that again. ageS.E.X. party #2 ..It is far worse to live with fear, than to die confronting it.
