The amount of "skill" required to pass a motorcycle test is laughable and says virtually nothing about its "safety." This is true. You know what they call non-helmeted motorcycle riders in emergency rooms? Organ donors. Now, as much as I want to see somebody get your organs, what I don't want to have to do is pay for your government institutionalization when you're only semi-fucked up. What I want is for you to be a organ donor or a productive member of society. Helmets absolutely help in that regard. It's a cost thing cupcake. Suck it up for the good of society. Here is an interesting fact you may wish to ponder; the state issued me a license to ride a motorcycle after putting me through a comprehensive test course. The license is a testament to my abilities and qualifications to ride that bike in a safe manner. So, If I have prooved to the state that I can perform on the motorcycle in a completely safe manner, who are you to question my ability or future liability? Ok so I'm thinking helmet rules at DZS and the voluntary wearing of helmets by up jumpers but also helmet laws for motorcylists. At the DZ , I remember when no one but students wore helmets. We couldn't wait to get off student status so that we could lose that pro-tec. I think it was sometime in the mid nineties when all the competition teams started wearing helmets so they could kick each other in the face in freefall and turn maybe one more point? I say the rules should state that any contact other than grips should disqualify the point. But hey what do I know? Jump in full body armour and just wail on each other I guess! Any way next thing ya know every neophite jumper in an attempt to emmulate the idiot way ,I'm sorry, four way teams was jumping a helmet. Next with a camera. Yeah well, to each his own I guess. But what about the government mandating that motorcyclists wear helmets? What's with that and what gives them the Right? Here in South Carolina there is no helmet law and my neck is awfully glad about it! Helmet proponents are generally not riders and they don't know the amount of muscle fatigue causing drag helmets inflict. Riding without a helmet is the natural state of man. Since the start of the war in Afghanistan heroin production in that country has increased more than 100 fold. Heroin traffick into this country and to Russia has gone through the roof. An interesting fact, Einstein said that nothing was faster than the speed of light. That was considered science!!! E=mc squared. Thing is that today we can observe corelated photons shooting out in opposite directions from each other and if a force is applied to one of the photons to change it's direction , the other will react at exactly the same time and change it's direction also. They could be light years apart and some how this communication has occured way faster than the speed of light. Obviously Einstein was wrong. What type of communication do these photons have? My research indicates that the Old Testament was rewritten by Ezra around 400 BC . He made changes to the text which had the effect of declaring the Jews as Gods' "chosen people". Obviously a forgery and a lie. If you have all these children would you,could you, choose one of them over the others? The new testament was basicly put to paper during the Nicean Council by Pope Constantine around 300 AD. He had his own political reasons for what was included and what was excluded. If He wasn't dying quickly enough, they break legs. The stabbing was just to see if he was dead ( blood and water indicates the blood is separated due to lack of circulation= dead, which at the time was the definitive way of determining so) Of course again we must contend with the dilema of a healthy man who walked everywhere , ate mostly figs ,olives,dates,and fish dying within three hours from basiclly what today we would call a "stress position". Breaking the legs was the commom practice to hasten the death of those crucified. Ya' see , the position of the crucified man puts most of the blood down in the lower extremities and the heart has a hard time pumping it back up to the brain. The Biblical account is that the other two victims had their legs broken but not Jesus. Now back to the heart not being able to efficiently pump the blood from the lower extremities to the brain. Can you guess what might happen? Have you ever been forced to stand at attention for an extended period of time? Same concept. You might not have passed out but I'll bet some of your comrades did. And soon after they were laid straight out on the ground the blood went back to their brain and they were fine . Maybe a bit headachey but really pretty much fine.
