Move along, nothing to see here.

Also there have been many others who were prosecuted for espionage that went undetected for years.

Are you of the opinion that we need not tighten up security?

Liveleak is your source? :D:D:D There's a mission impossible theme song in the background!:D:D:D:D

The B2 is development of the flying wing design that was proved in 1947... Do a search on the YB-49. Stealth was developed in the 1970's and 80's as a 'black' military project.

B2 came out of the black project closet in 1988. The same year North American Honda built a 60% mock-up speculation model of the rumored "stealth bomber". That model was so accurate there was real concern of a security leak.

So we've convicted several foreign national engineers for leaking 'sensative' ;) 'classified';);) technology that is 25 to 60 years old.;););)

Yep. It sounds like our security is totally compromised.:|

I think that the suggestions made for clean bills, public scrutiny and cost accounting would result in MORE public awareness of the waste evident in current spending and more pressure on Congress to cut out the pork.

What do you define as pork spending>? Citizens against Government Waste came up with $17.2 billion in pork spending for 2008 up from $13.2 billion in 2007.

This is out of a total budget of $2,794 billion budgeted in 2007. Which does not include the cost of The War which is a separate congressional appropriation (approx an additional $200 billion per year).

Pork Spending is approx 0.5% of total government spending.

Mandatory Spending (SS, Medicare/Medicaid, Unemployment, and Vet Benefits) totaled $1,623.6 billion last year.

Of the $1,170.7 billion in discretionary spending, congress voted to spend $548.8 billion on defense and $243.7 billion in interest payments due on the national debit (currently $9,140 billion).

The budget was $387 billion higher than the tax revenue for 2007 (i.e. we planned to increase the debt by $387 billion).;) This doesn't include The War which was an additional $200 billion.

The simple analogy to personal finance:

The US government owes roughly 3x what it earns every year and is over spending by 20% per year. It will take cutting more than "pork spending" to address the budget/ spending problems of government.:|

    >But yet you advocate higher taxes, disregarding the punitive effects.

I advocate paying what we owe. I am in favor of lower taxes that come from reduced spending. I do not favor lower taxes that come from increased spending. That is one of the stupidest things we could do.

Too bad you can't disinvest yourself enough to have an honest discussion about it - I think it would be interesting.

Well, we already know billvon is a duck. Are you claiming he's a duck invested in dishonest discussion? :S

Not replying to you per se, just to the general complaints about the error...

Keep a fucking dictionary next to your keyboard, or if you have MS Word, type your posts in there first, spell check it there, then cut and paste in here.

    ;)

Yeah, it's more work, or you can just say to hell with spell check and post as you want to, or be like me and almost never need spell check. :P:D

I see your point, Billy. I've always thought if a person didn't know how to spell a particular word then they had not earned the privilege of using it in conversation.

    YMMV.:P;):D:D:D

One hit wonders. By that I mean one hit worth listening to.

Flock of Seagulls if for no reason other than the absolutely brilliant fingering of the keyboardist. Stunning work, really. And such a looker! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUjIA3Rt7gk

Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark. A lot of good tunes. Take your pick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ig2Q4Ub4TnM&feature=related

Simply Red. Not a better known cover of a great Cole Porter song, but a good cover nevertheless. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ig2Q4Ub4TnM&feature=related

  8. It was cool. The digital projection was sharp... I think I am going to go see it again today.

FYI~ If you're a fan, make sure you hang around for an extra scene that's after the credits. It's the set up for the next movie... I think.:P

maybe we shouldn't post PM's....it seems the "P" does not mean "Public"
    :D:D:D

    Ya think?:S

Maybe we should think twice before sending people we don't know critical PMs.

    PM = Postable Mail? I don't send or receive PM's I don't believe in them.:P

PS: I really have no idea what I'm talking about.
