  1. what message? even as propaganda films go it was weak sauce. I like the idea of getting people to vote. But the rhetoric was thin on substance. You claim the current administration forced socialized medicine, when that is no where near the truth. And the vacations bit seems hypocritical coming from the republicans for a variety of reasons. And those are just off the top of my head. But what really aggravates me is that you fail to understand that Obama is doing the things he campaigned on. And he was elected by a majority vote. So if the vote doesn't go your way, it is not a subversion of democracy. For my part, I am disappointed with the government we have because everyone seems content to argue over the color of the drapes in a burning building. 2. If I had ignored this and not read it would I have 5 minutes of my life back and be better for it? Life is a banquet, and most poor fools are starving to death
  3. Don't forget Clinton "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" It would be better if we could find a Bush jr quote that says "I am not a idiot" Life is a banquet, and most poor fools are starving to death
  4. You had me right up to the point where you can claim he isn't. I don't understand religious people. I have never experienced anything that would lead me to believe in a supreme being. But I don't know what happens when I die either. I'm content to wait for it happen and see how it goes. If you believe in something and it brings you comfort, good. Just don't ask me to act like I agree with and understand you. end rant Life is a banquet, and most poor fools are starving to death

  6. My name is Kit. I'm 33. I did my first jump earlier this month with a friend as a "bucket list" kind of thing. My father and grandfather were both paratroopers, so I have always wanted to do it at least once. I'm hooked, I paid for my first jump toward getting my license that day. The runway was being resurfaced the next week so I had to wait a week and a half for my next jump. That was last Wed. My next jump is this Wed. I'm doing a tandem progression, so if I can meet all my objectives for the next jump I get to go to ground school and go out the door with just a container on my back instead of a instructor. :) I've been lurking in forums trying to pick up all the tips and advice I can. I can't believe it took me this long to discover skydiving. But reading the forums leads me to believe I will be enjoying it into my 70's Life is a banquet, and most poor fools are starving to death
