  1. so you HAVE met his mother!
  2. Mike - skydiving at your weight is not an option. Anyone who tells you otherwise is blowing smoke up your ass. That's not doing you any favours. If you can lose 200 lbs, then you'll be OK. Otherwise, this is not for you. Try bowling. That's not smoke. You said you couldn't post your photo - but which body type are you? 6' isn't tall enough to carry that much weight, that's for sure. You brought it up so I don't mind following: 1 - 400 lbs 2 - Nearly 400 lbs 3 - 450 lbs 4 - 400 lbs 5 - Around 400 lbs 6 - 400 lbs M
  3. While I'm at it, does anybody have FIRST HAND jump experience with the Django Firefly? I see no reason to refuse to pack it - despite the age it's in great condition. I'd like to have some information regarding flight and flare characteristics to give to the owner.
  4. Situation: 1988 Javelin converted to CYPRES setup but no longer contains a CYPRES unit. Within the reserve tray there is a 1" wide tube of ZP material that is attached with double-sided tape to the bottom of the tray. Its purpose is to route, contain and protect the cutter and controller cables upwards from the CYPRES unit. The tape is worn out and the fabric tube wants to come off - it is barely sticking to the cordura. Question: Is it a modification to remove this tube? As the original modification is a Master rigger privelege, does it require a Master rigger to sign off on its removal?
  5. OK, assholes. I see there was a minor, very minor, lesson in quantum terminology. Nice. And lessons on "sniping" eBay. Good for you. If one is so undedicated as to be unwilling to (*gasp*) follow a simple online auction and fuck up the process for the rest of us, please just go play in traffic or take a long hike on a short pier. Do the thinking persons of the world a favor and stay off eBay. The "viewing" period of an auction is just that - a time for viewing the item(s). The bidding period, just like actual auctions, happens at the end. If you can't be bothered, dipshits, then don't bother becoming involved! Stop fucking it up for the rest of us. The eBay dipshits may now continue with lame explanations, flames and typical Internet nonsense.
  6. Silly Okie. The Fist knows you are unable to contain your enomous wit. Had you been a lesser individual . . . . And as for bidding on inferior and/or unidentified gear? Why, it's embarrassing to even have mentioned it in this reply. Get smart, eBay dipshits!!! MM
  7. How about using a quantum of common sense, dumbass. An auction that is 6 days out from closing doesn't require a bid from you. If you bothered to use your brain cell to consider the bidding process, you would recognize that you are needlessly driving up the price of the item and if you win, you are paying more than you would if you didn't start bidding on the damned thing long before the auction ends. In case you didn't know, the only person who wants the price to go up is the person who posted the auction. Try bidding during the last hours. It's what common sense and simian-level intelligence reveal as better than adequate. So thanks a lot, assholes, for driving up the prices of shit on eBay by being utter and complete dipshits. MM
