This could be a case of the ad being locked while the payment process occurs. While payment is pending the ad will be locked typically.. The only time an ad should get locked is when it's expired or pending payment.

We've taken a look at your ads and can't see any locked status on any of them. Could you post the URL to the ad showing it?

This ad has been paid and renewed, and it is locked:

The new system offers a lot of additional functionality around the classifieds, but it doesn't offer the ability to select between two renewal periods. What we could do, is set the default renewal period to 60 days, that way if one wishes to remove it prior to that period they can do so manually with ease, but will still extend the duration of the ad through the renewal?

    Hi,

Yes, please offer the possibility to extend for FREE. I got an email from your new system stating that the ad expired and cen be renewed for money only (no other options ,see below)... Also, "Me Renewals" menu is empty.

Advert Title: Tempo 150 reserve in great shape, low pack volume, low cost world air-shipping !
Renew for how many days?: 7 days
    Renewal price: $6.00

Even when trying to renew with fee, it brings you to the dead page:

    Site not configured

If you are the owner of this website and weren’t expecting to see this message, here are some potential causes and solutions:

    • You recently created a new website record, but opened the URL before your changes were activated in the web server and DNSconfiguration. Wait a moment and refresh.
    • You created a new website record without the current subdomain (for example, www). Return to the control panel to add the current subdomain to the website record and refresh.
    • You added a new domain in the control panel but didn’t create a site record to link it with an application. Create a website record with the control panel and refresh.
    • Your website record is set for HTTPS, but you visited a HTTP URL (or vice-versa). Open the URL with the other protocol.
    • You tried to access your website by IP address. Access the website by domain name instead.
    • There is a problem with your account. Check the control panel for unresolved support tickets and check your email for recent messages from [email protected].

Not just you. My usage of the forums immediately went from daily (or more) to practically zero when the new design launched because of exactly this.

I’m curious how forum page view stats compare before and after this redesign.

My vote would be to please put the site back just as it was and go back to the drawing board (in a test environment) until a new design is found that adds some value.  Sorry, but at the moment, in my view, it’s a really, really big negative.  I would love to support something new, but this just isn’t it.

Sadly, I agree. I have been reading this website everyday for the last 20 years. I stopped now...

At least please bring the RED numbers showing the number of new posts and new threads in each forums. Like it used to be, and like it is still on BaseJumper.com . These RED numbers told me if there is enough of new content to enter the forum to read. Very important info, for instance "not worth entering for only 1 new post. Worth entering for let's say 22 new posts and 2 new threads". Just an example how I judged it. Or, I just waited for the new contend to accumulate, before starting my "reading session".

  4. When viewing the website in 1080 resolution and 100% website zoom setting (normal), the Classifieds menu is not visible. It is rather hidden under the drop down. Could you move it so that the Classifieds menu is located in a place where the one of the red dot is?

  5. Four points to correct, for now:

    1. Far too much space between each forum on the main forum listings page on desktop. It is 4 full screen heights to go from top to the bottom of the page. That's a lot of scrolling. The number of topics and posts should be on one line, and the massive amount of white space above and below the forum name should be reduced significantly.

    2. Please bring the red numbers showing how many unread threads and unread posts are in each forum. This was one of the MOST useful features. You only entered the forum ONLY if you saw it is worth the time (enough unread content) .

    3. I cannot edit my own classifieds (which were moved over from the old website). There is no EDIT button.

    4. When you try to edit your profile, many dropdowns have no options (like Container selection).

Secondly, there is another issue that has not been addressed in this thread yet. That is the use of thinly Teflon coated cutaway cables instead of the long proven Lolon coated cables originally speced for the 3 ring system. These have been known to have the coating crack and fail in critical situations. And there is no good reason to use them.

There was a fatality few years back caused by cracked red cables. They prevented cutaway. Parachute Labs changed the red cables do "pinkish" cables (less cracking). Not sure what cables were used in this accident.

Question1: I think I recall that it is OK to convert the dual RSL to a more standard single riser RSL? In the field. Yes or No?

Yes, there is an approved alteration for rigs that did not come with a Single sided RSL that can be done by any Master rigger. Most new Racers I have seen since ~2015 have single sided RSLs from the Factory.

I have a November 2018 Racer, unassembled, sitting 3 feet from me right now. Absolutely great rig - Single sided RSL, Stainless steel hardware, spacer foam backpad and legpads, Type 13 harness, double tuck magnetic riser covers, contrast stitching, articulation, etc. I would put it against any 2018 rig on the market today.

    pictures plz

Is it Classic Racer, or Racer 2K3 ?
