I absolutely can't wait... I love the Skyvan and the people at Skydive Houston... you won't want to miss out... plus, it will be great to see what exactly Fast Andy is offering to skydivers... hahaha

For those of you following Mike Johnson he should be stateside sometime on Saturday, November 21st! You know he will be out at Skydive Temple as soon as is humanly possible.... We're planning a "welcome back" bonfire * beerfest for Saturday night... everyone is welcome... come on out and make a jump with Mike... celebrate our soldier skydiver returning home... and his return to our beloved sport.... Jason! I personally know of quite a few soldiers from Fort Hood that have accomplished AFF during their mid tour leave.... check out Skydive Temple at www.skydivetemple.com or fb friend request Skydive Temple... if you let them know your goals they will do their best to assist you. It's a small, cessna dz so getting on a load is much easier than at a dz where they have to fill up an otter with tandems before the plane flies! Just something to consider. Any word on your "boots on the ground" date? When can we expect you at the best DZ ever... Skydive Temple.... hope you are saving a jump for me and it doesn't have to be CReW... LOL

Michael.... are there any other soldiers that you know of from your unit that are skydivers and also coming back to the states with you on Nov 15th? In particular to Fort Hood / Skydive Temple?

I can't wait to meet you, SlackBeef... another fun jumper at Skydive Temple... Yay! I will make it a point to be out on the 21st to thank you for your service and welcome you home from Iraq... and to Skydive Temple. I live in Houston but drive there every weekend because I like the "laid back skydiving vibe"... The people there are awesome, like my family away from home. I actually ended up there because I was interested in learning CReW. My canopy coach, Aggie Dave told me to get coaching from the best and that was Wendy Faulkner at SDT... So I went there and made my first CReW jump and I've been hooked ever since. They actually have quite a few CReW dogs there, do you ever make CReW jumps? It's a great "low key place" to learn. Wow! Can't wait for the boogie.... and the opportunity to make a jump with Simon "Bones" Palacio of the recent team that made the 108 way head down record at Summerfest.... plus I hear they are providing lunch and supper on Saturday and there is no boogie fee... you can buy t-shirts though and hats.... foam pit... beer.... barbq... what a great way to end a fab day of skydiving over the state of Texas...

Awesome..... I heard that there were gonna be live bands on both Saturday night and Sunday night during the Deadman Boogie III at Skydive Temple.... just a little bit west of Houston, a littlebit north of Austin and San Marcos and a little South of Waco.... We plan to have more fun than the law allows....

and.... live music on Saturday and Sunday night... Hell Yeah!

Wow! Only 11 days till the TX Anvil Bother's Deadman Boogie III at Skydive Temple! I was just at that DZ this weekend and the people are all pumped and ready to go! The facilities are wonderful for a DZ of that size and I am really looking forward to the Otter and Chopper jumps.... Hope to see you there... CReW Skies everyone!
