I've had that happen a couple of times when I was on my bike. only when doing excessively stupid speeds. It is a cruiser but it's 1100 cc's so it get up there. It wouldn't last long but just kind of shoot through my body. But it felt like what you described. kinda like a sleeping limb, but ran through the whole body. I always took it as my body giving me a warning about something like spidey sense . I usually eased up on the speed. Not that you have that option in freefall. Maybe it was just your body telling you that deployment altitude was coming up. No need to spend money on an altimeter you got a built in one. You probably won't get much response this topic seems to get brought up quit a bit. I just ordered my rig. I'm 5'11" 175 and got a wings with a 175 fusion. I consider myself a fast learner as well. I figured I can use this for at least a couple hundered jumps before I master that. Then I can downsize to a 150 and use the same container. Probably depends on how fast you want to downsize. You will find people have different views about how quickly this should be done. I opt to lean toward the safe side so I can enjoy this sport for as long as I can. Good luck on getting your rig. No pic. but that aside it can depend on the angle of the accident that determines if the airbag will deploy. there is a little gold ball that will roll forward and complete the circuit. Some air bags will only deploy if it is a direct forward on collision. I have an airbag in my car when my ex-roommate hit another car glancing blow in the rear the airbag did not deploy. this is why side airbags and other airbags are used. Not all of them will deploy depending on the angle of the accident. edited to add: oh I see a pic now maybe I missed it. after looking at the pic I wouldn't think the airbag would have come out. seems you slowed down enough to make it a glancing T-bone rather that a full blown smash. I don't think you should have a problem. I miss SDC I did my training there. Even flew up from Dallas just to finish where I had started. Great crew there as it sounds like you already know. What Divot said... Well, that and a little bit of everything really. 1 day I work my upper body (chest, shoulders, biceps, triceps, lower back, upper back, abs) - the next day I do my legs. I switch between the 2 routines every other day & go to the gym 5 days a week. Typically, I use a variation of 5 machines per workout, and depending on what I'm doing, I lift between 50-75 lbs. 4 Sets of 20 reps. I work my abs every day though; crunches - 4 sets of 50 reps. Hey I just ordered a wings yesterday and was debating if I should spend the extra money for the articulated harness and the leg-back pads. I will probably have the rig for quit a while as I only have 55 jumps and will be jumping my 175 fusion for a while then will be able to use a 150 in my container. I plan on getting into Freeflying. Has anybody jumped one with and without these options. I figure over the span of three or four or more years I may have the container it might be well worth it. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm actually getting a really good deal from Rigs and Things. and I'm tired of trying to find a good deal on something that will fit me right I have been looking a while. Either the canopy size I need doesn't fit the container etc... Hey and everybody has different taste.
