I would say to have your presentation as effecient as possible to allow more time for member comments. We do have plenty to accomplish on the agenda, so we may have to interupt and continue at a late night session. As long as there are valuable comments and input, I would like to hear them. If it becomes a volley of arguements, we will have to move on. How much time would you like to ask for. Todd I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

I have a couple of comments. First, I wouldn't say that swoopers aren't going to be represented. Everyone is welcome to attend the USPA BOD meeting. I will do my best to schedule the presentation time for Safety and Training Committee's first meeting Saturday. This should allow more attendance than Friday, but enought time left for us to consider the presentation. We have a busy meeting, so the presentation needs prepared. There is no amount of regulation that USPA can institute without it being enforced on a local level. The enforcement must be done by the DZO's, DZM's, S&TA's, Instructors, jumpers, and you. Pro's don't count in the CPC. It is just practive for them. We can score them and compare where they would place, but the ranks don't count. That's why I didn't put any scores for Curt Swanson. Currently every TX CPC comptetitor is in the rookie class. There is an Advanced class that is between Rookie and Pro. Last year the people placing 11-15 at the Championships became Advanced. If we had any of them, they can score and be ranked but they have to make 5' gates where the rookies can make 10'. I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

Several different cross braced and a few non-crossbraced. Velo was the majority of the canopies flown. Wing Loadings ranged from 1.52 to 2.51 I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

BTW, those are the scores, not the distances. Longest distance was 263.91 by Dave Smithers Fastest Time was 2.43 seconds by Todd Spillers Best ZA score was 82 points by Todd Spillers Consistency and ZA is what won overall. I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

For the Distance runs, the winds varied, but were running 8-12 straight headwind. I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

Urgent Notice! If the weather forecast holds true, it looks bad for this weekend. Skydive Temple dirt runway could have them shut down beyond the rain. Keep checking here for updates. As it stands, we are watching the conditions and I will be contacting the DZ prior to making the trip starting Friday morning. I have no intention of setting up a course in the rain. If we get to a point where the know it won't be dry enough for the competition, we will post it here with a reschuled date (June or July). Q, I will discuss my opinions wiht you more in Reno. There are many good ideas here. Canopy education: There are many excellent sources out there like Scott Miller, Flight 1, etc. I think many DZ's are eductating their jumpers more. Low turn fatalities are ony 1/3 of the total (down from 1/2). This needs to continue to improve. The coaches and instructors in many cases need to learn more about teaching canopy skills. Scott does an Instructor course for DZ's and I imagine others do as well. Manufacturers: I think many of them do care. PD's new dealer agreement hold dealer's accountable for verifying some skill level of their customer to insure proper canopy sale. I know there could be many holes here, but it is a start and a great stand. Ultimately, the grass roots has to come into play. How many "rules" and "recommendations" are ignored at some DZ's now. USPA needs to coninue to work to provide the tools, but the individual (DZ, S&TA, Instructor, Jumper, etc) has to implement them. Todd I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

Dave, Why only on Saturday? Rick Duran, Chuck Akers, J and Stan Schrimsher will be added to our usual mix. There is no reason we can't get some cool formation loads. Trent Alkek is said to be here, but I haven't recieved a confirmation from him yet. We could maybe even seen some cool hybrids. Todd I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

As far as RV parks go. There is one across the street now. It is pretty small, but they are $15 per night and off the end of the runway. I will try to get a phone number for them as well as the hole in the wall motels down the road. Todd I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

It shouldn't be too big of a deal on the door. The snakes were from a tandems student I think (of course due to the movie). It happened while I was in CO. I am not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

BTW, There is no registration fee. Meal tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the event. Lift tickets will be every day price (currently $21). There will be live music on Saturday and maybe on Friday if we don't go to Dudley's (Northgate). Swoop course will be set up separate from the main landing area.
