  1. i dont get it do i not notice it, thats way too cold for me holy crap im a weenie when it comes to cold
  2. i can unofficially say that someone unofficially said to me, that it was unofficial, but by august 15
  3. Wyatt was a significant other.. he was always willing to answer my dumb questions. i miss his personality around the dz :*(
  4. for all of you who ask what i'm pulling at, when i say im thinking about not pulling.. well..that's partially a joke.. and in response to the 5 way.. its all good i had stuff to work on anyways (stuff to practice by myself so no one could see how much of a geek i am) and i have a forum to ask instructors questions... and i also mon-thurs
  5. no you guys are all good.. i understood it all quite clearly.. maybe we can all play a game, who can get out of their rig completely and then get back in, during freefall.. thats a joke too. bring on the flames, fire retardant ready
  6. NO ONE CAN TAKE A JOKE..or its ok when they do it, but not ok when others do it.. IT WAS A JOKE BRIAN..and in case you forgot you DID acknowledge it was a joke and that you understood it was a joke, by first asking if i was kidding and when i said yes you said thought so.. SORRY I WASN'T PUNCTUAL ENOUGH. I'M GOOD WITH JOKES, or i get too into them, AS MY LIFE IS A BIG ONE (joke) this should be an interesting dz-acquaintance.. probably will be too afraid to jump near me.. i recall you asked me if i wanted to jump with you and then took back your offer.. sorry if i scared the invitation out of you! oh and john..that idiot is me. it will be my pleasure to hear what other nice things you have to say once you give "that idiot" a chance
  7. someone told me in New Zealand at 15,000 it was -22 celcius (+ or - flux with seasons) i live in san diego... does anyone know how cold it is here? i dont think i can handle -22
  8. sorry if my questions piss people off, this is a forum and the only place im gonna ask questions like this, i just wanna make sure im covering everything to be safe because im taking it all in, i really am learning a lot...
  9. ya so im thinking get near DOOR, WITH PILOT CHUTE IN HAND PULL CUTAWAY EXIT..WHILE TOSSING pC DID I LIVE?
  10. cause its the closest spot to my location... they have a decent location as well i have been jumping there for 2 years and try to ask other jumpers there instead of the staff because the staff has money to make, and if i pay 100 dollars for a coach jump they spend 10 mins with me before the jump and then its like, OK SEE YA thats why i wanna go to new zealand, its an organized instructional course that is quite long. gives you that school, someone kinda gives a whoot feeling... get it? and i understand how it works, i just wanna make sure! because as of right now, if it were to happen, in the situation that SDSD was in, i would cutaway my main in in the plane and jump out and toss my pilot chute.. sounds good to me plus i think the way my DZ works, it would be best to ask that question on dz.com anyways.. they are under-staffed and always turning or busy.. someone in the USA should create a skydiving "SCHOOL"
  11. you could make your own for a lot cheaper im sure... i would put it inside a skysystems helmet and then both of you would be perfect..
  12. reasons why i will not ask an instructor or rigger: 1.my gear is not here yet, but it will be soon 2. there is no real instructors at my dropzone.. its like an AFF farm, its very um...how do you say..kinda spend as little time with students as possible..once they are certified,, SEEE YA.. i'll just ask people with time here.. thought i would bring it up, because apparently a load of 24 people owe the pilot at skydive san diego their lives..atleast thats what most of the people on the load said....
  13. couple questions regarding emergency, "gtfo" of the plane procedures.. well little incident at skydive san diego regarding their airplane, (i wasn't on the load) but i was there waiting for some people to land and it scared me.. anyways.. in the event of an emergency on the way to altitude, and we need to bail out of the plane, if i have skyhook, should i pull my cutaway handle and let the skyhook open my reserve.. or should i just pull my reserve handle.. to me it would make sense to pull my cutaway handle and let the skyhook/ DRX go into effect and open it quicker?
  14. i dont know what to get cause i dont know what to expect? its always different then what i think :?
  15. ok so im pretty bad at this so let me know which you like, or if your artistic and would like to make a couple designs based off of what i've started with, i would love other opinions.. and im not very good with clickys so i uploaded them from what i know people said dont get white, get dark colors.. i need help i know they are all kinda the same, but i think i like the first one with the trim tape..
  16. ok in response to potatoe man, im sure if i could i would choose something above my skill level (not that bad) but i have the same mentality, i think i would be ok teaching myself on a hp canopy, but i think its time for me to make a smarter decision for once, not really a sport for much error..i think ill take it slower then you hah.. i just need something a bit more forgiving because i think im cool and i try stupid stuff. cool ok thanks are 7 cells unswoopable?
  17. can someone explain the differences between a 7 cell and 9 cell in flight? what can a 7 cell do or not do, that a 9 cell can?
  18. in the market for everything..in the list is a video camera, i would like the best quality HD camera i can strap to my head..wanted to ask who suggests what.. would a JVC HD-hard drive camera work decent? size is important, but quality is my focus.
  19. the main reasons i am considering the nzsds is the following.. it is a program where the instructors spend a lot of time with students, it is an organized school, i feel at a dropzone here, you pay for your "coach" jump and they spend 10 minutes with you and you jump and they move onto the next person.. the other reason im considering it is, i dont look at the negatives, i think the positives for me will over run the negatives.. for me, im lost on what to be/do, so i see this school as an oppurtunity to take a really awesome break/trip/adventure and i can do some real soul searching. then maybe if i come back to the states, i can atleast have some respect for the things i know, it might be easier to get a job in the industry. and for me that would be awesome.. i could work in the industry while finishing up college.. see im kind of a loner so i think it would be a great experience for someone like me... im not sure what to expect but im young and my priorities are different then the people i grew up with.. im not the societal norm... i think the one on one instruction and the school environment will produce a good result.. hope some agree with everything i just said
  20. hmm what about seven cells in general? what about an icaurs omni?
  21. anyone who knows more then me, do you think a PD storm is ok for a 100 jump wonder getting his first rig
  22. me too, im asking his question except more enthusiastic..(and you can flame me all you want)
  23. anyone have a review on this container or anything to say about them? i havnt been able to find thoughts on them and does anyone know if they are going to fome with a skyhook or something similar? any information would be awesome/ -jason
